Andrew Lippa is an American composer, lyricist, and book writer. He is best known for his musical adaptation The Wild Party (not to be confused with the Michael John LaChiusa adaptation, which ran on Broadway in 2000), as well as writing the music and lyrics to The Addams Family and Big Fish musicals.
Lippa contributed the original songs "My New Philosophy" and "Beethoven Day" to the 1999 Broadway revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and new lyrics to the title song. He also wrote the arrangements for the production and produced its cast album, receiving a Grammy nomination for his work. For the 2017 Texas State/Theater Under the Stars rewrite of Snoopy!!! The Musical, titled The World According to Snoopy, Lippa collaborated with original composer Larry Grossman on the new song "Husband Material", for which Lippa wrote lyrics.
Lippa is a frequent collaborator of Kristin Chenoweth, who starred as Sally Brown in the 1999 production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
