Kenner Products was an American toy company founded in 1947. Kenner produced many well known toys and merchandise lines, including the original line of Star Wars action figures in 1976. Kenner Products was acquired by Tonka in 1987. As part of Tonka, it was acquired by Hasbro in 1991. The Kenner division was closed by Hasbro in 2000
