Mercedes-Benz is a global automobile manufacturer and a division of the German company Daimler AG. The business headquarters of Mercedes-Benz are located in Stuttgart, Germany.
The company was founded in 1928, although its origins can be traced back to 1886 when the German engineer Karl Benz created the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, which is generally considered to be the first gasoline-powered car in the world.
Mercedes-Benz is best known as a manufacturer of luxury vehicles, buses, coaches and trucks. There are Mercedes-Benz automobile factories in twenty-nine countries on five continents.
