Excerpt from the March 17, 1974 Sunday strip.

Pawpet Theater is the name used for a number of puppet plays performed by Snoopy atop his doghouse in several Peanuts comic strips which were first published in the 1970s and 1980s. The idea was introduced to the strip in March 1974, the first such performance being in the Sunday strip from March 17 of that year and the word "Pawpet" appearing for the first time a week later, on March 24, 1974.

In addition to selling tickets and acting as an usher, Snoopy performs all of the roles with puppets on multiple paws.

Plays performed by Snoopy include Beau Geste, Ben Hur, War and Peace, Teeth, Gone With the Wind and Citizen Beagle.
