Repeated failure to follow any of these rules may result in a temporary block. Users who continue to indulge in the same behavior that earned them the original block after that block has expired may receive a longer or permanent block.
- This wiki is about the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz and its adaptations to other media. Articles considered to be irrelevant to Peanuts Wiki or beyond its scope will be deleted on sight.
- This wiki is written in American English. Articles written in languages other than English will be deleted on sight. We have sister projects in Chinese, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish and you can propose new ones in other languages via the process at Fandom's central community.
- Do not plagiarize. All contributions that you make to Peanuts Wiki should be written in your own words. Do not copy text from Wikipedia, IMDb, other wikis, other websites, the backs of books, DVD or VHS boxes or anywhere else. Do not add complete transcripts of episodes, films or TV specials. Do not add the complete end credits of episodes, films or TV specials to pages. Do not add lengthy quotes sections to pages.
- Articles may be deleted if they are considered to be uninformative due to being very short or if they are badly written to the point of being incomprehensible. Articles on topics about which there is simply not much to say or about which little information is available may be deleted or merged into larger existing articles.
- Although articles about notable works of unofficial Peanuts media are accepted here, original fan fiction is not welcome on this wiki and will be deleted or removed from pages on sight. Do not write about any kind of Peanuts media that only exists in your imagination as if it were real.
- Do not recreate any deleted pages without first discussing the matter with at least one of the administrators and gaining his or her approval.
- Do not rename any article without discussing it on the article's talk page first and without gaining the approval of at least one of the administrators.
- When editing articles and creating new ones, follow the pattern of our existing articles. Do not try to make any new article you create look radically different from the ones that are already here. Do not feel obliged to alter our articles to make them conform to a pattern you have seen on some other wiki. Different wikis have different ways of doing things and what is considerd correct on another wiki is not necessarily considered correct here.
- Do not edit war. If you have any disagreements with other editors, discuss them on the relevant article's talk page.
- Be civil. Even if you disagree with other users, do not insult them. Do not insult other users based on their nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability or age. Use of slurs of any kind will not be tolerated and may lead to an immediate and permanent block. Harassment of other users will not be tolerated.
- Follow the advice of administrators and other more experienced editors. This includes advice given to you directly on your talk page and on article talk pages as well as advice in edit summaries and in reasons for deletion. If an administrator tells you to stop doing something, stop doing it.
- Vandalism will not be tolerated and will invariably result in a block. The block may be temporary or permanent depending on the extent and severity of the vandalism and the user's prior conduct.
- Users who are known to have threatened cross-wiki vandalism elsewhere may be pre-emptively blocked here.
- Users with obscene or offensive user names and/or obscene or offensive avatars will be permanently blocked on sight.
- Spam will not be tolerated and will invariably result in a block for the spammer.
