Charlie Brown writes an essay about the previous Christmas, when the entire gang took part in a rather disjointed Christmas play. The basics of the plot would be reused in the special It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown.
"Sweet Babboo!"[]
"Sweet Babboo!" is the longest short in the episode and gives the episode its name.
The gang deals with Valentine's Day and unrequited love. Snoopy and Woodstock are the only ones to get Valentine's Day cards.
In "Snoopy's Story", the Christmas Vacation essay that Peppermint Patty wrote in the 1985 comic strips is replaced with her writing an essay about Snoopy. In addition, Charlie Brown is invited to see the essay read while he wasn't there in the comic strip story.
Goofs[]
Peppermint Patty's reference to Snoopy having been a sled dog breaks the continuity from an earlier TV special and some of the stock footage used in "Snoopy's Story" depicts events that Snoopy did not canonically experience. That is because the footage is taken from What a Nightmare, Charlie Brown and depicts Snoopy's nightmare.
Charlie Brown can be seen wearing Sally's socks and shoes in the "Sweet Babboo!" segment.

"Good grief."
"I feel grumpy today. I don't want to talk to anybody, and I don't want to see anybody."
"Get out of my way."
Lucy walks right into Charlie Brown's fist.
Lucy: "You hit me, you blockhead." Charlie Brown: "I didn't hit you, you ran into my fist." Lucy: "What was your fist doing in the middle of the sidewalk?" Charlie Brown: "If your brother had given my sister a valentine, this never would have happened."
