Peppermint Patty hires Snoopy to be her guard dog because she is afraid to sleep at night. The house is burglarized anyway when Snoopy, Peppermint Patty and Marcie cannot get off the very bouncy waterbed.
"Charlie Brown Lost!"[]
Snoopy takes the Beagle Scouts on a hike and does not come back. Charlie Brown gets lost trying to find them so, Peppermint Patty and Marcie go on a rescue mission. This is the longest segment in the episode.

Snoopy blows Linus into Patty's pool after he reads The Three Little Pigs. He also pretends he is the World War I Flying Ace and Sally gets a new motto, "Speak softly and carry a beagle".
