"The Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk" is the third episode of This Is America, Charlie Brown. It first aired on CBS on November 4, 1988. It also features the only appearance of Dolly, Linus' cousin.
Plot[]
In 1903, Charlie Brown and Linus visit Linus' cousin Dolly in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and watch as the Wright Brothers send their primitive airplane aloft. Additionally, Woodstock demonstrates the principles of flight, Peppermint Patty and Marcie are mechanics for the Wright Brothers aircraft, and Snoopy becomes top dog and oversees the events leading to the flight that changed the world! - It is strongly implied Charlie Brown has a crush on Dolly, as he blushes when she offers to help him out with the kite, and asks him to write to her.
- In this episode, Snoopy is Dolly's dog, instead of Charlie Brown's, because his doghouse is in the front yard of Dolly's house. He also works as the family's driver with Woodstock as his assistant.
